Course Assessment
Assessment

All ABTU courses must include a core assessment that measures the course’s Core Learning Outcomes and competencies. The purpose of the assessment is to verify that the learning outcomes have been achieved and to what extent they have been met.

For each course, the core assessment is performed online on a weekly basis for six (6) weeks, and is guided by ABTU’s outcomes assessment plan.

Diploma and Associate’s-Level Assessment:

Assessment per Week of Instruction

  • Assignments/Projects 40%
  • Weekly Online Test 52%
  • Weekly Attendance 8%

Assessment per Course

  • Weekly Instruction (6 weeks) 80%
  • Course Final Test 20%

Bachelor’s and Master’s-Level Assessment:

Assessment per Week of Instruction

  • Assignments/Projects 30%
  • Weekly Online Tests 60%
  • Weekly Attendance 10%

Assessment per Course

  • Weekly Instruction (6 weeks) 80%
  • Course Final Test 20%

Student feedback regarding their course experience is vital at ABTU, where students have a voice in the education process. Therefore, it is required that students complete an online course evaluation survey for every course they attend at midterm and at the end of the course. This data is collected and then used to measure student success and satisfaction, and to make improvements in the course.
