A student who has withdrawn and wishes to return to ABTU, may do so as long as he/she is in good academic and financial standing. A student who wishes to re-enroll within 180 days of the last attendance need not complete a new enrollment agreement. A student returning within the same payment period is treated as though he/she did not cease attendance at the school.
Dismissed students may or may not be able to return to ABTU. If a student was dismissed and did not file an appeal, the student will be required to file an appeal. If a student was dismissed after being granted an appeal or the appeal was denied, the student may not file another appeal and will not be allowed to return to ABTU. Please refer to the Appeal Policy (APP-PL-1211)
Returning students and Title IV
A student who has withdrawn and returned within the same payment period is treated as though he/she did not cease attendance at the school. ABTU will undo the students Return to Title IV funds calculation (R2T4) that was completed after the student’s original withdrawal date. ABTU is required to re-calculate the student’s financial aid package based upon when the student returns during that payment period using a cost of attendance and corresponding EFC for the period of time the student was in attendance. The student’s award package may be different than their original award package.
