Veteran & Servicemember Priority Enrollment

ABTU gives priority to military student Veterans and servicemembers enrolling for upcoming courses.  Veterans and servicemembers are granted the freedom to enroll as early as possible to accommodate their unique needs.  Whenever possible, ABTU will offer needed courses for such students to avoid any unnecessary breaks in enrollment allowing students to achieve their educational goals within their time-frame.

In accordance with the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, ABTU will not impose any penalty, including the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a Chapter 31 or Chapter 33 recipient borrow additional funds to cover the individual’s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to ABTU due to the delayed disbursement of a payment by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Updated by Ramsey Atieh, University President on 8/1/2019 to include the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018.

Created 7/1/2018 By Ramsey Atieh in accordance with Section 303 of the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act, known as the “Forever GI Bill”
